The visual novel mystery genre has long been popular, with the much beloved Ace Attorney series as shining example of the heart and humor fans have come to expect and cherish. Coming in 2025 to PC and Nintendo Switch, Memory Rewind – created by Lion Core and Niji Games and published by the Singapore based Soft Source – follows a private investigator and his quirky assistant as they delve into a case that may seem normal on the surface but is sure to challenge both the characters and the players.

There was a limited time demo available back in March which allowed curious gamers a peek into what’s to come from this game next year. Currently, there’s no demo out, but we hope it makes a return soon. However, there is a Steam page with a trailer, screenshots, and the ability to wishlist and follow the game.

“What is the reality?” asks Memory Rewind’s trailer, “Did the reality have a meaning for you?” What information we have so far seems to promise an intriguing exploration of how we perceive the world around us, with multiple endings, smooth 2D animation, hand drawn CGs to collect, and colorful, unique characters to get to know as we play and investigate.
