Antstream Adds Food Fight & Raffles This Week

Retro game platform Antstream Arcade adds two 1980s games to their library this week. Food Fight and Raffles were arcade games, all but lost to time until now. While these two are the latest games in their catalogue, Antstream Arcade is the largest officially licensed retro game platform and has over 1300 games covering titles across gaming’s early history. They have more recent titles as well.

The Games

Food Fight was originally released on the Atari back in 1983. You play as Charlie Chuck, and you have the simple goal of enjoying a giant ice cream cone. Unfortunately, four irate chefs are determined to stop you. They’ll chase you, pop out of holes in the ground, and throw food at you. You can throw food back to defend yourself, but watch out! Fall down a hole or get grabbed and you’ll lose a life.

Raffles was released in 1988 on several different systems but made it onto the Atari and Amiga a year later. This isometric game has you playing the role of thief, but you’re not actually stealing anything. The widow of an eccentric millionaire has hired you to find gems that her late husband hid around their mansion. Lest the job seem too simple, your exploration is hindered by the genetically engineered pets that also live there.

The Platform

Even if you aren’t interested in either of these titles, Antstream has many retro games and modern indie arcade style games. The platform costs a pretty penny, at $39.99 per year, but you can also pay for it indefinitely for $99.99. It’s available on Xbox, Epic, iPhone, iPad, Android, Samsung TVs, PC, Mac, and soon, PlayStation.

The news of Antstream Arcade coming to Playstation 4 and 5 broke just yesterday afternoon (August 14th) live on their Connect Presentations stream. The exact date of the Playstation launch is currently unknown.
