Future Friends Games is proud to announce Mudborne, a casual nature management game from developer Ellraiser, half of the TNgineers team. With early looks boasting the same pixelated charm as past titles like APICO, it’s time to wake up Mud Born. We have a pond to fill with fancy frogs.

Mudborne features a combination of crafting minigames, menu management, and puzzle solving mechanics with a genetic twist. Play as a frog awakened from hibernation to find his pond abandoned. Catch and eat bugs while you collect new frog morphs and restore long lost populations of rare frogs. Cultivate mushrooms to access strange effects. Or chase around tiny frogs, some of which may or may not have tiny hats. The choice is yours.
Utilize your frogs to power your machines and uncover secrets. Earn genetic keys used to open new pathways between the waking and dreaming world. Solve the mystery of what happened while you were asleep and bring some life back to the muddy little slice of pond you call home.
Mudborne is coming to PC in 2025. A portion of all proceeds will be donated towards national and international amphibians, wetlands, and environmental charities. There is a demo available on Steam today for Windows, macOS, and Linux. You can also follow the game’s development through the official Mudborne Discord.
