An independent game studio from Berlin, Germany, Megagon Industries has announced the release of the follow-up to their extremely popular Lonely Mountains series as part of Steam’s Wholesome Games Celebration event.

Hit the Slopes!

Pack your jumper and snow boots, as Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders takes you on an adventure through beautiful snow-capped mountains. There are many ways to play, whether you want a peaceful bunny hill slope to yourself or you want a thrilling black diamond race against friends. Like its predecessor, this game has full online co-op support. Skirt around icy lakes, long jump over perilous chasms, and pull off some gnarly tricks while you’re at it.

Speaking of icy lakes and perilous chasms, Lonely Mountain: Snow Riders is a gorgeous game. Despite being low-poly count, the environments are lovingly rendered. The powder effects are very cool, and the way the snow sparkles is simply mesmerizing. Honestly, the low poly style grants the game a simple beauty that cannot be captured in a more realistic style.

Based on the developing franchise’s history, you can possibly see Lonely Mountain: Snow Riders come out on Steam, Xbox, the Switch, and the PlayStation. Whatever your style of gaming, you can get in on the action. Lonely Mountains: Downhill currently has five DLC introducing new mountain courses and challenges. So, it’s possible we may see the same or similar for this addition to the series.

While not out yet, Lonely Mountain: Snow Riders is set to be released sometime this year. Go ahead and wishlist it now, so you can keep up on the latest news! And be sure to check out the other games being promoted this week through the Wholesome Games Steam Celebration.
