Fruitbus is Cooking up Some Fun

Ding, ding! Order up! Fruitbus by Krillbite Studio is rolling into town this October 28th. The new trailer for this cozy cooking game was shown at the Awesome Indies Show at Gamescom today.

Food Brings People Together

Embark on a roadtrip in your little food truck in Fruitbus, as you work to fulfill your grandmother’s wish. As you travel between different towns and more out of the way locations, you’ll learn recipes, engage with the townsfolk, and strike up friendships as you fill hungry bellies. Forage for fresh ingredients to customize your menu, and pay attention to the local needs and wants. Tastes change from town to town, and your cuisine must adapt to match!

Fruitbus is a wholesome exploration game with a side order of restaurant management sim. The graphics are quite simple and stylized, adding a sweet charm to the humdrum of your little chef’s life. Take the adventure as fast or slow as you like – there’s no rush. The Gustum archipelago is an open world, and no one is timing you or anything.

Fruitbus is only the latest of a number of Krillbite Studio games. While they have also developed The Plan, Mosaic, and Sunlight, Krillbite Studio’s most famous game is perhaps Among the Sleep. If for some reason you haven’t heard of it while Among the Sleep was enjoying Youtube fame, it is a horror game where you play as a toddler looking for his mother. Honestly, it was quite the deviation from Krillbite Studio’s normal style, as they love to make atmospheric games you can relax into. In that way, Fruitbus is somewhat of a return to form.

If a family friendly cooking game is what you’re after, then go ahead and check out the demo today. You’ll be informed when its fully released. And if you enjoy just a relaxing experience in general, then why not give Krillbite Studio’s earlier games The Plan and Sunlight a try?
