Listen up, Spore fans, because we are eating well tonight! Chronicle Games Ltd has come out with a new game called Strange Seed that scratches that old creature creator itch.

In Strange Seed you begin as a lowly blob – harmless little blob – with the ability to evolve based on what you eat. It’s a creature evolution RPG in a Metroidvania 3D world, where you can give a chicken crab legs and switch out its feathers for armor plating. Defeat creatures, consume them, and evolve new parts to meet the challenges of this world head on!

Chronicle Games Ltd has released a brand-new trailer yesterday on their official YouTube page. Additionally, they have announced an upcoming demo release on September 26th! You’ll soon be able to give Strange Seed a spin, access over 100 million possible creature combinations, and even give your creature guns and various other accessories. Additionally, you can join the playtest by applying on their Steam page.

Chronicle Games Ltd is a fresh indie gaming company, with Strange Seed as its second release. Their first game, Miscreation, has a very similar concept executed as a 2D sidescroller. This time, your seed must evolve to survive the dangers and platforms of Yggdrasil, collecting body parts to become the optimal creature.
