Publisher Selecta Play has announced their lineup for this year’s Tokyo Game Show, a digital event from the 26th to the 29th of September, and live at IndieDevDay in Barcelona, Spain from the 27th to the 29th September. With the chance to get hands-on demos for upcoming titles such as ANTRO, Luto, and Morkull Ragast’s Rage, as well as special promotions for Dark Atlus: Infernum, NetherWorld, and Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster, fans of Selecta Play’s unique roster won’t want to miss this showcase. 

Unfamiliar with SelectaPlay, or hoping for a little more information on the featured games? No worries. Here is a brief look at some of the amazing titles players can look forward to during these events. 

Bubble Ghost Remake

Guide a little ghost and bubble through a magical mansion filled with peril in the thrilling remake of Bubble Ghost Remake from VIDIBOND Games. Test your skills as you solve clever puzzles and unveil the story behind the spirit of Heinrich Von Schinker. This remake features a fresh new look and a myriad of new features including new games modes, epic boss battles, and hidden secrets to delight players for hours.  

Dark Atlas: Infernum

Play as Natalia Asensio, the former Grand Master of the oldest occult order in the West in the terrifying adventure game from Night Council Studio, Dark Atlas: Infernum. The sky cracks as the world around you burns. Descend into the dark recesses of your mind and walk the paths of hell to find the answers you seek. Resist the influence of the enigmatic character known only as “The Word” as you navigate the maze of your mind in search of a solution. Do it before those with the ambition to wield this new apocalyptic world do. Before they discover a way to reforge the Corona Radiata, a grimoire that will give them the power to do so. Above all else, escape the prison of your mind before you are the one to tell them.  

Morkull Ragast’s Rage

Take control of Morkull, God of Death and Darkness and Lord of the Ragast. He knows of your existence, and he knows about Disaster Games, the developers that created him. Your objective? Help Morkull escape from the Ragast so he can carry out his evil plans and take over the world. While Morkull may be your typical cliche villain, Morkull Ragast’s Rage is anything but cliche, with a 4^th wall breaking twist and exciting 2D action platformer mechanics. 

NetherWorld

Developer Hungry Pixel has crafted a truly dark and decadent experience with NetherWorld, a pixelated action-adventure game laden with a sorrowful and surreal story. Follow the story of the crestfallen protagonist Medoo, a weird little jellyfish reeling from his recent abandonment by his wife. While drowning his sorrows at the bottom of a vodka bottle, Medoo finds himself lost in a twisted world. His journey of redemption will take him through an unfriendly land full of filthy creatures and quirky fellow travelers. 

Antro

Only 1% of humankind survived The Collapse. Those that remain have been forced to seek refuge underground. Under the ruins of what was once Barcelona stands Antro, a dirty and dark hole divided into a geographical caste system. The lower the level you call home, the less rights you have. Join Nittch, our delivery man protagonist, as he journeys to the most remote places of Antro to deliver a mysterious package to an anonymous recipient. While you’re at it, how about overthrowing the totalitarian government to the rhythms of urban music in Antro, a thrilling 2.5D platforming adventure from Gatera Studio. 

Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster

The brief peace that followed the Wars of the Portals is coming to an end. The new king of Imperia has joined forces with the Sacred Kingdom to declare war against all non-humans. This is the moment of prophecy. The moment when a chosen one will unite Men and beasts to restore peace to the world of Arborea. Barbarian Saga: The Beastmaster is a hand-drawn Metroidvania with Souls-like difficulty from Dormidin Studio. Use your Beastmaster skills to unleash your inner beast and end the threat to Arborea, the world depends on you.
