Saving the Princess comes to mobile in Rezcue, the debut game from Neonso LLC. Climbing vines, breaking boxes, and avoiding enemies are only half the challenges in this pixel-styled puzzle adventure game.

The Princess Needs Your Help

Rezcue begins with the simple quest of reaching the princess. However, it isn’t as simple as it seems. You play as a young adventurer, traveling through this 8-bit pixel world to reach her. Knowing very little about the story or the world, you begin climbing and pushing objects out of the way in order to get to the princess. However, as you progress through each level, you gradually uncover more about the characters or the adventurer and princess through dialogue in between each level.

Moving Through Each Puzzle

Rezcue continues the theme of being simple but engaging by providing easy-to-follow instructions. Each level is a tower of obstacles with the princess either above or below the adventurer, whose goal is to reach her. With an easy motion of sliding your finger left, right up, and down, you figure out what is the best way to solve each level’s puzzle. As you go, there will be a score at the top of your phone screen that shows how many steps it took for you to finish each level. Another aspect of the controls allows you to switch the adventurer into fight position in order to break down boxes that will help you reach the princess.

The puzzle for each level gets more challenging as you play, so expect to have an interesting journey while during your playthrough. Luckily, when you get stuck, double tapping on your character ends the level so you can restart it.

Positive Side

The first thing to notice about Rezcue is the interesting art style, using a pixelated theme throughout the game, and a 8-bit style for the music and sound effects.
