Spray Paint Simulator Announces Multiplatform Release Dates

Whitethorn Games and North Star Video Games have revealed the official launch dates for their upcoming creative sim, Spray Paint Simulator. The game will debut on May 29, 2025 for PC (Steam/Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5/4, and Xbox Series X|S/Xbox One (available Day One on Xbox Game Pass), with a Nintendo Switch version following on June 19, 2025.

A Colorful Creative Journey

Developed by industry veterans with over 40 years of combined experience, Spray Paint Simulator invites players to build a painting business in the quirky town of Spatterville.  At its core, the game offers two distinct ways to play. A structured Story Mode has players take on commissions from eccentric locals, and an open-ended Free Spray Mode unleashes pure creative expression.

In Story Mode, aspiring painters will meet Spatterville’s quirky residents. Each has their own unique requests, ranging from simple furniture touch-ups to massive projects like transforming entire buildings or even painting giant robots. Gameplay focuses on the satisfying process of surface preparation, careful color selection, and the tactile joy of spray application, all while managing resources like paint supplies and equipment upgrades. As players progress, they’ll unlock new tools, vehicles, and accessories including specialized ladders and scaffolding to reach those tricky spots.

For those who prefer unfettered creativity, Free Spray Mode removes all constraints. Solo artists or cooperative duos can turn the entire town into their personal canvas! This mode particularly shines in local co-op, where friends can collaborate on massive murals or compete to leave their colorful mark across Spatterville.

Demo Reloaded!

The development team at North Star Video Games has recently updated the Steam demo with additional polish. It better represents the first two levels of the full game while implementing numerous quality-of-life improvements based on player feedback. “The support we’ve received during development has been wonderful,” said Nick Jefferson-Tame, Lead Artist and Creative Director at North Star. “We can’t wait for everyone to experience the full creative freedom we’ve built into the final version.”

With its stress-free gameplay devoid of time limits or complex mechanics, Spray Paint Simulator aims to deliver a uniquely meditative creative experience when it launches this spring. The game’s vibrant color palette and gradual progression from small jobs to massive commissions promise to satisfy both casual players and dedicated virtual artists alike.

Spray Paint Simulator releases May 29. Retail price is currently unknown.
