Sim lovers, gear up! The perfect summer game is headed your way! Studio Primitive, the creative minds behind Attack of the Karens are now dipping their toes into the idle time management/ simulation pool.

Announced June 3, 2025, during Clemmy’s BIG Summer Showcase, Boardwalk Builders takes a empty beach and invites players to create their own boardwalk full of unique shops, rides, restaurants and more.

Build, Baby, Build!

Don’t let the summer heat get to you though. Running a beachside boardwalk isn’t a breeze. In addition to upgrading your shops, you will have to run successful marketing campaigns to bring in more customers, deal with nasty weather, and keep up with the (strangely) demanding world of idle businesses. Catch those big VIP fish and bring in even more money.  Fail… and let the ocean take you.

Studio Primitive

Studio Primitive is a family-run independent game studio made up of brothers Joel and Grant. Based in the United States, they have been gaming since they were kids. Their previous games can be found on itch.i.o. Released in 2023, their game Attack of the Karens received much praise for its style and tough shmup gameplay. It is available on Steam and Nintendo Switch.
