Singapore-based developer Mixed Realms has released the demo for 13Z: The Zodiac Trials, a mythology-inspired action rogue-lite that has players facing down deadly enemies to become the 13th Zodiac Guardian and help protect humanity. Along with the demo comes a brand-new gameplay trailer featured at gamescom 2025, showcasing the game’s dynamic combat and colorful, magical world.

Become Part of the Myth

13Z: The Zodiac Trials introduces a world where the 12 zodiacs have long protected humanity. When the call comes for a new warrior to face the Zodiac Trials and join the rank of legendary guardians, it’s up to you to rise to the occasion. In the demo, players can try out two of four playable characters. Face down these challenges as Lyra the Fox, a master swordsman focused on speed and melee, or Sylith the Raven, an assassin specializing in AOE damage and ranged combat. Play solo or with up to four friends in co-op as you face down the trials in each action-packed run.

Dynamic, Customizable Combat

In addition to the diverse characters and abilities, players can experiment with eight swappable combat styles. Explore branching upgrades and master the martial arts-inspired movesets to become a deadly force in the trials. An elemental seal system, featuring six elements players can use to further customize their builds, adds an extra level of strategy to every run. Free camera control and full vertical and horizontal movement make every battle feel dynamic and unique as you explore, fight, and prove yourself worthy on your journey to becoming a Zodiac Guardian.
