Critically acclaimed horde survival game, Halls of Torment, is receiving its largest content drop to date. Indie team Chasing Carrots just announced a slew of exciting news including a massive free update, the game’s first DLC, and the long-awaited debut for PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Having already captivated PC players with its addictive 30-minute horde survival runs and nostalgic pre-rendered late 90s aesthetic, this Diablo inspired title is now ready for console gamers. Including its gripping formula of roguelike mechanics, enormous range of playable characters, and a labyrinthine hellscape to explore, it’s sure to become a fast favorite.
The console version will launch alongside all the new content! Bringing the full torment filled experience to all platforms at the same time!
Enter the Boglands
Beyond the cursed Halls lie the Boglands – a sunken realm of creeping roots, drowned spirits, and creatures who defy death. This DLC invites players to a festering new frontier, with new heroes to meet, mechanics to master, and challenges to conquer.
Introducing two new heroes! The Crone brings the twisted overgrowth to life, leaving only Decay in her wake. Bottle the elements as The Alchemist and hurl your elemental concoctions at the hordes you face. The DLC also adds over 50 new quests, new abilities, gear, and an entire new swamp stage to explore.
Free Update! – Bardcore
A massive free “Bardcore” update is arriving alongside the DLC for all players, bringing with it the highly anticipated The Bard character. Complete with six new abilities and six new endgame artifacts, there is plenty for strategists to enjoy. The update also adds three heavy metal tracks that you can listen to at any time thanks to the new stage music selection feature. This update is also introducing a new, manual level-up system for even more detailed strategy crafting.
We don’t have an exact date yet for when all of this is coming to Halls of Torment, but our friends at Chasing Carrots assure us it is coming soon for PC and console players alike. Stay tuned for any future announcements!
