Microids, the developer and publisher of the late Benoit Sokal’s popular point-and-click Syberia games, has announced a release date for Syberia Remastered with a Before/After trailer of both games. I’ll admit, while I do love the original Syberia, the game is starting to show its age visually. These days, pressing the space bar or another key will typically bring up the objects a player can interact with.
Back in 2002, however, it could take a while to find the one thing you needed to click on to progress the story/solve a puzzle, which caused people to pixel hunt. As much as I enjoy the original Syberia, I’m hoping the remaster gives us some updated gameplay with the elimination of pixel hunting.
Syberia Remastered Before/After Trailer
As we can see in the trailer, the graphics for Syberia Remastered have been updated for a more modernized look. While I do like the graphics upgrade, I’m more in love with the new and improved camera. As shown in the original segments, the camera was mainly fixed and only changed when Kate moved to a new area. In the remaster, though, we can see the camera isn’t just closer to Kate, but actively follows her around too. Besides being more helpful for the player, it also shows off the beautiful updated environments.
Most importantly, it shows we won’t have to wait too long before getting our hands on the game. Syberia Remastered is releasing on November 6, 2025.
VR and Limited Edition

Back in May, when Microids announced Syberia Remastered, they also announced a VR version of the game for the Meta Quest 3. A gameplay trailer, along with screenshots, can be found on Meta’s website. The VR version of Syberia Remastered will launch on November 13, 2025.
Besides the VR version, the game will also be getting a physical Limited Edition. Along with the physical copy of the game, you’ll also be getting an art book. While a statue of Kate or Oscar would have been cool, the art book is still pretty sweet. Even though I recently got done with a replay of the original Syberia, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into the remaster.
Syberia Remastered will release on November 6, 2025, with the VR version releasing on November 13, 2025. Syberia Remastered will be available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5.
