Saltstone Studios and indie game publisher Fellow Traveller Games have recently revealed Saltstone Studios’s next game, The Hearth & Harbour. Best known for their first game from 2023, The Pale Beyond, The Hearth & Harbour will take place within the same universe and is being billed as a story-driven restaurant management RPG.
Build The Silver Spoon Into Something Great
In The Hearth & Harbour, you’ll assume the role of immigrant Kit Purcell as they newly arrived in the harbour city of Lewthport. Soon after, Kit will assume management of the past its prime restaurant, The Silver Spoon. If you thought you’d just be managing a restaurant, though, you’d be wrong. The choices you make as Kit will tie into both the game’s narrative, the fate of The Silver Spoon, as well as Lewthport.
Connecting With Others In The Hearth & Harbour

Besides shaping the game’s narrative and Lewthport’s fate, you’ll also build connections with the local residents, which in turn will help Kit gain access to different cooking ingredients. Food is an important aspect of everyday life, but the look and taste of the food can be just as important. How food looks/tastes can raise someone’s spirits, especially if they’re going through a difficult time.
The people of Lewthport are going through a pretty difficult time as war looms on the horizon. That’s exactly why The Silver Spoon is important. Going there to socialize and get a hot meal can help take a local’s mind off the looming war and such a restaurant is the city’s lifeline.
Become a Member of the Lewthport Community

Becoming the owner/manager of The Silver Spoon costs quite a bit of money, and getting repeat customers helps pay off the debt Kit owes. Deciding what to put on the menu will determine the type of customers The Silver Spoon will get. It’ll also decide the connections and relationships that Kit can foster, as well as the bonds Kit can form with others.
In The Hearth & Harbour, you can choose to have Kit make the restaurant an upscale bistro or a greasy diner. On top of that, Kit hires employees, buys produce at the local market, and decides on the restaurant’s décor. When it’s time to serve the food, you’ll do so through turn-based tactical gameplay. Keep the bank, your staff, and the locals happy and you’ll truly succeed in The Hearth & Harbour and might even bring some joy back into Lewthport.
The Hearth & Harbour can be wishlisted on Steam now. If you’d like to get updates on the game, you can do so via Fellow Traveller’s Bluesky, TikTok, Instagram, and Threads accounts. You can also join the Fellow Traveler Discord.
