The Summer of Games continues throughout the season with THQ Nordic’s announcement of their upcoming Digital Showcase. Mark your calendars for Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:00 PM PDT / 3:00 PM EDT / 8:00 PM BST / 9:00 PM CEST. HandyGames will once again host the pre-show, starting at 11:45 PM PDT / 2:45 PM EDT / 8:45 PM CEST.
Starting, like many digital showcases, during the Covid-19 pandemic in the fall of 2021, THQ Nodic’s first showcase was part of their 10th anniversary celebration. Since then, the showcase has moved to the closing weeks of summer.
The show focuses on titles published through the THQ Nordic brand and features new titles announcements and updates on upcoming games. Last year, we saw announcements for Last Train Home, Alone in the Dark and South Park Snow Day.
This year, they plan to provide “fresh insights and unveilings” from Gothic Remake, Titan Quest II, Way of the Hunter, and Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and more. Epic Mickey was a delightful surprise announced during Nintendo Partner Direct showcase, held on February 21, 2024, and is a remake of the 2012 Wii exclusive.
