France-based developer Sleepy Mill Studio and publisher The Arcade Crew have announced their upcoming title, Drop Duchy. This combination of geometric block-dropping puzzles, deck building, and resource management asks the question: What if Tetris was a city builder?
Strategically drop blocks of land to build your dukedom while collecting resources and building an army to defend it. Build an 80-card deck with unique cards that grant resources to help you create a realm that lasts the ages.

Complete over 50 different challenges and 20 different types of missions as you explore 110 beautifully hand-crafted maps. Drop Duchy promises a wide variety of content, while procedurally generated tiles and challenges keep each match fresh, offering tons of replayability for players.
Defeat is not the end in Drop Duchy. Each playthrough grants experience that can be used to unlock more content for future games. This feature, coupled with procedural generation, means players can feel themselves progress in both skill and ability, giving every session meaning.
If you’re as excited about Drop Duchy as we are, you can follow the development on Facebook, Twitter, or YouTube.
Drop Duchy has a demo coming to Steam later this summer. A full release is planned by the end of the year.
