You better save this game on your Wishlist. Turn-based RPG Saveseeker by Paper Sword Games is coming to PC and the Switch in 2025! Saveseeker is the second game Paper Sword Games developed, which was founded by Camille Nohra.

Good Things Come In 6’s
Camille Nohra is a graduate of the indie developer incubation program with Failbetter Games over the summer of 2018. During that time, she launched her first game, Miss Bullard’s School for Former Ladies. This historical lesbian drama launched with a team of six, and a fully funded Kickstarter that reached every milestone. That six person squad has come together to form the indie development company Paper Sword Games. Now back with their newest title, Paper Sword Games has switched over from Victorian light novel to pixelated RPG with Saveseeker.
New Save, Who This?
In a style reminiscent of Chronotrigger and other Japanese RPGs, Saveseeker twists the old narrative of heroes saving the world. The “Hero” of the story has already defeated every villain in his path. Now at the end of his journey, he seeks not only to rid the world of magic, but make a new one to his liking. Only one person possesses the power to stop him – the Hero’s daughter. Recruit former bosses, and defeat your father with your team of villains lest the world fall to ruin!

The graphics in Saveseeker are quite gorgeous, with smooth and fluid animation. You can feel every brush of wind, or even the tight squeeze of heroine Emmer’s hug. As a player, it is quite immersive, particularly when coupled with a sweet musical score and on point sound design. You get sucked right into the story, as if you were there in person. The writing is also rife with humor and satire, as things get meta with save points and other mechanics that are normally never addressed in-world.
If this sounds like your kind of game, then look out for Saveseeker in the fall of 2025. Moreover, keep an eye on Paper Sword Games, as they are bound to release even more exciting titles in the future!
