You Are The Horror Here

In The Lightless World, you play as one of the archdemons set against the Order of the Dawn. In this cosmic horror, you are what goes bump in the night. As an action roguelike, you are destined to be cut down by the forces of light. However, each time you rise again, you come back stronger than ever before. Gain experience by defeating enemies and invest in your skill tree to unlock new terrifying abilities. Collect resources and discover powerful artifacts to wield against the angelic beings that block your way to freedom.

As an avid player of the old Diablo games, the art style and UI design feels really reminiscent of Diablo II. Every map is dark and atmospheric, with high points of light in the form of lava pits or pools of poison. It contrasts really well with the light and color of your abilities, which might otherwise get lost in the noise. There are so many enemies to fight, after all. Whatever abyss The Lightless World is set in, it is a true bullet hell.

Striking It Big

While The Lightless World is The3rd.One Groups’ first published game, they are not new to the gaming industry. They are a team of seasoned industry veterans striking out on their own to support other creators and get their own ideas out there. The3rd.One Group offers a wide variety of services to developers, including animation and design in both 2D and 3D, VFX and CGI production, motion graphics, post-production, and branding.
