Lil’ Guardsman gets a physical release on Nintendo Switch

After releasing across multiple platforms to great success, Lil’ Guardsman now has physical copies available for the Nintendo Switch via Super Rare Games’ website.

Described as a “deduction adventure”, Lil’ Guardsman is a point and click interrogation-based puzzle game developed by Hilltop Studios and published by Versus Evil and tinyBuild. The story follows 12-year-old Li as she fills in for her dad as the guard of her city. Utilize your deductive reasoning, ask questions, and use tools of the trade to shape the future of your kingdom. It’s all up to you!

Features

  • Fantasy/Comedy Narrative: See the Sprawl and its fantastical & quirky citizens through a royal wedding to one of two kingdoms vying for an alliance, and a subsequent siege by whoever you’ve angered in the process. Your decisions can determine the fate of the city and its people!
  • Interrogation Puzzles: Interrogate 100+ fully voiced characters in just the right way to earn a perfect score.
  • Tools of the trade: Spend your hard-earned gold wisely on powering up your guardsman toolkit. Strategically deploy these to admit or deny the right people or…goblins?
  • Rewind Time: Use your trusty Chronometer3000 to go back and get a higher score. But be careful not to break space and time in the process.

Lil Guardsman is an adorable, fun game with real heart and important things to say. It is the perfect game to play as a family, or for late elementary schoolers and early middle schoolers to play on their own! Indie games for this age group are often overlooked, so it’s always wonderful to find gems like this.

Lil’ Guardsman is available on PC & Mac, Nintendo Switch, Playstation, and Xbox. It retails for $19.99. It was released on Jan 23rd 2024.
