As the Wholesome Game Celebration event starts on Steam, we are excited to feature the Tiny Bookshop Demo by Neoludic Games. This delightful shop-owning simulator offers every player the opportunity to immerse themselves in the experience of owning a traveling bookshop. While the demo only covers three in game days, it does give us a clear idea of the vibe this game will be bringing to our Steam libraries.
Perfect Cozy Coastal Experience
The demo for Tiny Bookshop tells the story with an unnamed character starting their new career as a traveling bookshop owner. The vibe is clear: this experience is meant to be cozy and calming for you. With a mix of calming music and pleasant art style, this game provides the player with the similar cozy feeling of entering a local bookshop.

Opening each bookshop, you will get to decorate and plan out which books to have on your shelf. Depending on the genre and quantity of books, more customers will come and leave with stacks of books, gaining you a bigger number of coins to use on decorating and buying more books for your shop.

Meeting The Locals
You will interact and develop relationships with the customers and locals in Tiny Bookshop, a feature showcased in the demo. Book sellers and a writer for the local newspaper will introduce you to them as the days go by, to help with your shop. Request and tasks will also come in from locals that could help you gain more money or books. For example, in the demo, you have a task to gather boxes and move them to another location in order to get more used books for an older lady.

Helping The Customers
The demo of Tiny Bookshop also shows off the feature of book suggestions for your customers. There will be times when a customer will come in requesting a book in a specific genre or page amount, and from your selection from that day, you can pick the best option to suggest to them. I personally loved this feature as it shows that suggestions for books could be the best way to earn a sale in the end. The game uses actual books that you can go out and buy. So, not only can you suggest a book to these NPC customers, but you can also get something new at your next stop at a bookstore.

Look Out for the Release
While there isn’t an official release date for Tiny Bookshop, you can bet we will keep our eyes out for this release and any news that might come out from Neoludic Games. Until then, head over to Steam for the Wholesome Game Celebration and check out the demo for this cozy indie game to see for yourself.
