If you’re looking for a casual cleaning game, Undusted: Letters from the Past demo might just be the next game on your wishlist. During Wholesome Games Steam Celebration this week, 5minlab Corp is showing off their Undusted: Letters from the Past as one of many demos. The game mixes the joy of cleaning with an interesting character narrative.
Saying Goodbye to the Dust
In the demo for Undusted: Letters from the Past, the game drops you immediately into the gameplay, displaying a few notes above the objects that explain how the controls work, but not much else. The demo does not reveal much of the story, but it provides a better idea of what the story will be about. You play as Adora, a young woman, dusting and cleaning old objects from her family’s past. As you uncover different objects, you begin to learn more about her family as she starts remembering different stories and memories from her childhood.

Making Each Piece Clean
Undusted: Letters from the Past offers players the satisfying experience of restoring items to a shiny state. The demo features two tools – the big sponge and the tiny toothbrush – both designed for the simple task of cleaning items. The big sponge efficiently covers most of the object, while the toothbrush is essential for removing tiny bits of dust. However, achieving 100% cleanliness presents a challenge, especially when dealing with hidden dust. The game does provide assistance in identifying these areas but uncovering tiny hidden pieces by pressing TAB and turning the objects around, like those under a button, can add complexity to completing the level.

Waiting for the Release
Overall, Undusted: Letters from the Past demo showcases the main feature of this future release. With its casual playstyle and engaging story line, this game has the potential to be a fun experience for anyone. While there isn’t an official release date yet, there is still time to check the free demo, and keep a look out for any future updates related to this title.
