Well, we have some disappointing news for you today, folks. According to a message posted today on Necrosoft Game’s website, the game Demonschool has been delayed until Q1 2025.
Originally, Demonschool was set to release on the choice date of Friday, September 13th. However, development has encountered some challenges over the past few years due to difficulties in the individual team members’ lives. In order to give players the content and experience you deserve, Necrosoft Games has elected to delay the release. The team did not want to do this. It means sinking more money and time into Demonschool when they were already looking forward to the next project on their timeline. For the sake of the game and their team members, they felt it was the best choice overall.
A Stitch In Time Saves Nine
Players wouldn’t have noticed anything “missing” if Demonschool had been released as is, but delaying gives Necrosoft Games more time to breathe life into the world. They want to make the game world of Demonschool someplace you could hang out in, aside from dusting demons.
Going forward, there will be devlogs every other week on the Necrosoft Games website as well as their Tiktok. They will be detailing all of the changes and updates to Demonschool until its final release – spoiler free, of course. They are also taking player feedback into account.
One of the top requests from players at events like PAX was for more school-related content, so there will be additional minigames and a weekly quiz to the day-to-day portions. There will also be added inter-character relationships, better UI, a LATAM Spanish localization, and they will be finalizing character sprite interactions.
And, as an added bonus, the game will launch with Spanish localization, using LATAM Spanish.

Schooling the Supernatural
For those of you hearing about it for the first time, let me give you the run-down. Demonschool is an isometric, turn-based adventure inspired by JRPGs like Final Fantasy and Persona. Take on the role of Faye and her misfit band of friends as they navigate university life on a mysterious island plagued by the supernatural. Plan your school schedule to level your characters and skills by day, and battle hordes of demons by night.
If you want to give Necrosoft Games a little encouragement, go ahead and add Demonschool to your Steam Wishlist. There’s a demo available now, so give it a try today!
