Your Roadmap to City 20’s Full Release

As the development of City 20 progresses, we’re excited to see regular content updates from Untold Games enhancing the dystopian experience. These updates will roll out approximately every one to two months, following this roadmap. They introduce a variety of new features, quests, and essential fixes to improve gameplay.

Every Stop Planned Ahead

October marks the launch of a major bug fix update, which aims to reduce crashes and pave the way for a smoother gameplay experience. In November, players will be introduced to an NPC update featuring unique quests and an advanced AI system. By December the focus will shift to private property mechanics. Untold Games will be incorporating keys, locks, and armored doors, which opens up new secured areas for exploration and strategy.

The most exciting development for citizens of City 20 has got to be the advancements in the NPCs’ AI. These updates will make NPCs smarter and more lifelike, allowing characters to have distinct agendas and behaviors. They will have a more dynamic response to character’s actions in-game, which will definitely enhance immersion. Additionally, improvements to faction security will ensure that these groups are more adept at hiding and protecting their valuable items. For players who want to run a sneak-thief, its sure to provide an exiting challenge!

In February, the post-atomic update will introduce dangerous radioactive zones, along with environmental challenges. You will have to deal with area and water pollution, as well as a poisoning system. Looking ahead to the full 1.0 release, City 20 will include allied units, penalties and sentences for actions taken within the city, and new factions to interact with. The final version will also introduce rich story content, seasonal changes, and character customization options.

City 20 is currently available in Early Access on Steam and the Epic Games Store, if you want to give these updates a swing.
