A Darkly Comedic Blend of Zombie Horror and Morality

Quarantine Zone: The Last Check puts players in the middle of a viral zombie outbreak and gives them control over the last line of defense between humanity and the apocalypse. Each day in game has survivors approaching for inspection, attempting to enter the last safe haven humans have. The survivors will do anything they can to get in, but do they deserve it? The Skull in their backpack begs to differ, but the decision is up to you.

Irrefutable evidence of wrongdoing, or the results of a day in the park? You decide.

Daytime Defense and Bureaucracy.

Start your day the government approved way: with paperwork! Each morning you’ll receive reports of how your base is holding up and how abundant your resources are. When you’ve finished your managerial duties, you can open the queue and start admitting refugees into your checkpoint.

You’ll be given a variety of tools and symptoms to carry out your job each day in a safe and timely manner. A handy UV Scanner will reveal if a survivor is hiding a bite mark, a bruise, or a suspicious rash. A thermometer will tell you if they’re unnaturally cold, or running a fever that should have killed them. Listening to their lungs or heart is easy with a stethoscope. Are their eyes red? Is there pus around their ears, eyes, or nose? Check the box next to their correct symptoms and decide if they should be let in to the shelter, quarantined until their condition improves, or conveniently disposed of in your handy liquidation chamber.

Each correct decision you make will net you cash and resources you can use to upgrade your base, pay for additional test kits or ammunition, and ensure the longevity of your settlement. You can build additional quarantine or liquidation chambers and build up your defenses to survive the nightly onslaught.

Correctly mark down symptoms to make the most well-informed decisions you can.

The Nightly Gnashing

When the sun goes down, the zombies come out. Take control of various weapons and defenses in and around your base to fend off the undead hordes growing larger by the day. From a rifle mounted to your fence to the gunner seat of an attack craft, you’ll be mowing down more zeds than you can shake a stick at. A big, explosive stick.

Keep your defenses secure and your personnel alive and you’ll live to see another day of testing, admitting, and/or liquefying the dozens of refugees desperate to enter the safe haven for one reason or another.

Brigada Games’ Most Ambitious Project to Date

Quarantine Zone: The Last Check is the first game developed entirely by Brigada Games since their inception in 2020. As a studio, they have used their talent to assist other developers with their vast technical expertise in Unreal Engine 4 and 5. Brigada Games has prided themselves in optimizing the performance of games and assist in the porting of them to other platforms.

Since the announcement of Quarantine Zone: The Last Check just three months ago, footage of the game has exploded on social media, locking down the #48 spot of Steam’s top wishlisted games. The demo has been widely anticipated and gives players a great look at the final product.

The developer expects a release in September 2025. By all accounts, the demo will be freely available to play until then, so make sure to get an early look. You can find the demo for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check on Steam starting today.
