Developer 10 Chambers brought a treat to the Future Games Show: a brand new look at their upcoming co-op heist game, Den of Wolves. The FPS now has a short yet thrilling glimpse of the action in a new gameplay trailer as well as a deeper dive into the world, atmosphere, and making of the game with exclusive interviews with Creative Director Ulf Andersson and Audio & Music Director Simon Viklund.
The Thrill of the Heist
Get ready for chaos, thrills, and the satisfaction of a job well done with this four-player cooperative heist shooter. The year is 2097, and you and your teammates are hired criminals in Midway City, an urban dystopia controlled by corporations. It’s not just about gunning down enemies and hacking your way through security, though. The gameplay promises both high-action missions and strategic heist planning. Whether your team is hired to spy on competitors or assassinate rival executives, your success relies on your ability to plan, commit, and execute.
Sink into the Atmosphere
This isn’t your typical shooter. With the developers citing works like Inception and The Matrix as inspiration, Den of Wolves promises an immersive game world that turns reality on its head. Deep lore, a rich narrative, and commitment to perfect music and sound effects make the game’s atmosphere as important to the experience as the weapons you use and the characters you meet.
Masters of the Co-Op Genre
Lovers of the heist genre know that if you’re going to pull of a job, you need a good team. Luckily, Den of Wolves promises a satisfying and engaging co-op experience. Andersson is bringing his experience from developing PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2 to the project, translating the entertaining co-op heist action he’s already known for into this futuristic dystopian setting. This experience, combined with the riveting game world and the developers’ commitment to creating an incredible gameplay experience for players who are running a heist with strangers, makes Den of Wolves a highly anticipated entry to the action co-op genre.
Den of Wolves is planned for a Steam Early Access release. Wishlist the game on Steam to stay in the loop.
