Get ready to rewind time. Publisher Numskull Games and developer Triple Eh? have announced that Lumo 2 will launch on October 17, 2025, for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The long-awaited sequel to beloved 2016 indie platformer Lumo opens its doors for gamers young and old alike!
Positioned as a heartfelt “love letter” to the trailblazing British games of the 1980s and ’90s, Lumo 2 certainly captures the magic of classic isometric adventures, refining the experience with modern polish. Leap into a sprawling world of over 100 meticulously designed, shifting rooms that function as intricate puzzle boxes. Navigate perilous platforms, hidden secrets, and genre bending surprises with your grown-up little wizard.

A Modern Sequel with a Retro Soul
Triple Eh? designed Lumo 2 to evoke the charm of 8-bit classics while delivering a smooth, contemporary platforming experience.
Key features include:
- Over 100 Interconnected Rooms: The world is a vast, non-linear puzzle to be solved. Take on shifting dimensions, ball balancing, and stellar ship fighting, among other new challenges!
- Classic Collectibles Galore: True to its inspiration, Lumo 2 rewards thorough exploration with fun collectables. Think you can find all 25 vintage cassettes and 20 hidden ducks tucked away inside?
- Evolving Gameplay: Just when you think you’ve mastered the mechanics, Lumo 2 introduces minigames and level concepts that bend genres, keeping the experience fresh and unpredictable from start to finish.
A Veteran’s Passion Project

With over a decade of experience working on AAA titles before going independent, industry veteran Gareth Noyce founded his solo studio, Triple Eh? Ltd. in 2013 to handcraft games with a distinct, personal vision. Previously, the first Lumo was critically acclaimed for its authentic recreation of a niche genre, and the sequel looks to expand on that foundation in every way.
In a fitting tribute to the era that inspired it, Numskull Games is releasing a retro-inspired Collector’s Edition. Stepping right out of the 1980s, it includes a physical OST cassette tape among other themed goodies. Physical editions for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 5 will also be available through select EU retailers.
Whether you’re a veteran of the original or a newcomer curious about gaming’s isometric roots, this sequel promises a charming, challenging, and wonderfully nostalgic journey.
Lumo 2 launches on October 17, 2025. It’s retail price for digital copies is set at $24.99 USD, with physical copies ranging from $44.00 to $63.00. Those wanting to play Lumo can grab a copy on Steam half off for $1.49!
