Inky Blinky Bob, the first game from developer and publisher Eldelic Games, has received an announcement trailer as well as a release date. Billed as a surreal horror-comedy video game, players will use a hot air balloon to investigate a group of isolated islands and use the weapons on board to deal with experiments gone wrong.
Inky Blinky Bob Trailer
In Inky Blinky Bob, players will assume the role of a detective who has been sent to investigate strange signals coming from a group of isolated islands. The islands are controlled by an ultra-secretive company known as Quantum Corp. Naturally, Quantum Corp is a biotech company, so it’s a good guess that all the experiments running around on the islands were created by them. Seeing as how the detective’s plane crashes and sinks into the ocean, they’ll need some way to get to the other islands, which is where the hot air balloon comes in. Being high up in a heavily armed hot air balloon doesn’t look to be all that safe, as what’s assumed to be Inky Blinky is also flying around.
Besides using a hot air balloon, you’ll also need to investigate the islands on foot. While on foot, you’ll meet bizarre NPCs who will give you story quests, as well as meet hostile mutated enemies. Luckily, the hot air balloon isn’t the only one with weapons, as it looks like you’ll be able to use a shotgun, katana, and other weapons to deal with them.
