Relooted, the game about taking real African artifacts back from museums and private collectors and giving them back to their place of origin has released! The second game from South African indie developer Nyamakop, Relooted will have you recruiting a crew and pulling off heists. Relooted will have players asking themselves, “Is it really stealing to take back what was originally stolen?”

Relooted is an Africanfuturist story where the world’s different political powers have signed the Transatlantic Returns Treaty, which is meant to return artifacts to their countries of origin. Various museums and private collectors have decided they don’t wanna give up said artifacts and exploit various loopholes to keep them. This is where Nomali comes in, who with the player’s help, will take back 70 real-life artifacts.

You and Nomali can’t do it alone, though, and will assemble a crew that will help during each heist. Even with being a master of parkour, Nomali can run into obstacles during heists, which will require figuring out the best way to proceed forward. Sometimes they’ll need to move a table to access a higher area, have a crew member stand on a weighted floor plate, etc. Each heist will need to be planned out to the finest detail to ensure Nomali enters and exits safely.
