Indie solo developer Sørb has announced Ignitement, an isometric 2D horde survivor roguelite. Top-down combat style combined with a 2D fluid simulation system has you fighting and defeating hordes of your own demons, collecting coins, and upgrading your capabilities to become a full-fledged fire shaman.
Flaming Gameplay
Gameplay involves stepping into your own and embarking on a solo journey through deep meditation to confront lost parts of your soul. You play as a fire shaman, a mythical force with powerful fire-wielding abilities. Runs involve diving into a metaphysical realm clouded by grief, regret, and rage. There are three elusive realms to conquer, and each has its own identity: Soul, Mind, and Heart.
Soul is designed as a dead space, with a decaying nature and burnt remains. From there, players enter the Mind, a maze-like place designed to serve as a dungeon of what one seeks to forget. Finally, the Heart, organic and fleshy in appearance. Throughout it all, players face hordes of enemies that make escape feel as fruitless as the barren environments.

Dig A Little Deeper
Ignitement game features include:
- Stunning Visuals using a custom-made 2D fluid simulation system that adds weight and impact to every attack and motion.
- 20-minute runs complete with climactic boss battles, emitting manifestations of your darkest fears. The Horned Devil, symbolizing fear of change and lost identity; The Smoke of Regret, a haunting wraith with whispers of past failures; and The Void of the Heart, a colossal enemy known for its devastating fire-extinguishing attacks.
- Collect Ancient masks, each granting you new starting powers and fresh dialogue experiences throughout your runs. For example, The Mask of Impatience gives additional attack speed, and The Mask of Fury and Anger add confrontational melee skills.
- Spend soul coins to continually unlock new skills, curses, and masks
- Bargain with demonic entities for temporary enhancements…if you dare
