The main point of the Jurassic World Evolution series is to give gamers the chance to run their own dinosaur parks, see if they can maintain them, grow the ranks of dinosaurs within, and then manage any and all “incidents” that pop up over time. The franchise has been popular, and just as important, has had expansive content that ties into the movies. That’s important to note, as the Jurassic World Evolution 3: Rebirth Expansion is officially out right now on PC (via places like Steam) and console for $24.99.

As noted in the announcement’s press release, the expansion takes place before the events of Jurassic World Rebirth and has you traveling to multiple “top secret locations” to manage the dinosaurs within. Plus, there are four all-new species of dinosaurs for you to take care of…and attempt to contain.

A key part of the expansion is that while on Île Saint-Hubert, the movie’s setting, you’ll have new ways to ensure your facility stays active, including using geothermal energy for the first time in the franchise.

Flexibility is also something that the team at Frontier Developments wanted to offer players, as you’ll have the chance to advance the original campaign by doing “priority” missions, or do plenty of optional tasks, so you can expand what dinosaurs you can manage.
