Without a doubt, the hottest platform in the gaming space right now is the Nintendo Switch 2, which just celebrated its 1-year anniversary two weeks ago. In that first year, it’s already sold over 20 million units, had a “Game of the Year” contender featuring Donkey Kong and Pauline, and there was a recent Nintendo Direct highlighting how even more titles are coming to the new platform. Not to be outdone, the horror game-making group at Bloober Team has dropped its 2020 title, Observer System Redux, onto the Switch 2 eShop.

Here’s a synopsis for the title:

“The year is 2084. The future has turned out much darker than anyone could imagine. First, there was the Nanophage. A digital plague that killed thousands upon thousands of those who chose to augment their minds and bodies. Then came the War, leaving both the West and the East decimated and shattered. With no one left to seize power, corporations took over and forged their own crooked empires. You are an Observer – a tool of corporate oppression. Feared and despised, you hack into the darkest corners of your suspects’ minds. You creep into their dreams, expose their fears, and extract whatever your investigation may require.”

They even released a launch trailer to help commemorate the release:

As if that wasn’t enough, they also dropped a press release where they announced that this October, a physical edition of Observer System Redux – Limited Edition will drop. It will feature not only the game, but “a special case, a lenticular 3D postcard, in-game ad cards, and digital content!”

The digital issue is out now, and the physical limited edition will drop on October 30th.
