Who doesn’t love video games that have great soundtracks for you to enjoy? Many have taken the concept of game music and turned it into unique gameplay experiences, especially on platforms like Kickstarter. Next year, though, an equally unique title is coming that’ll mix music creation and rhythm with platforming, and it’s called Rhythm Doggo.
That’s a great name, wouldn’t you agree? The basic gist of the game from developer Nifflas and 505 Pulse is that you are attempting to play a video game, when you suddenly get sucked into a game world, and are turned into a dog! Now, you have to make your way through the world in an attempt to get back to your true form.
Yet, as you’ll see in the trailer below, with every movement that you make, you affect the game’s music. The “living soundtrack” affects both you and the world, which, as the Steam page notes, makes this a game of “joyful self-expression and musical discovery.”
You’ll definitely want to add this game to your Steam wishlist, and there will even be a private playtest that you can sign up for to help steer Rhythm Doggo as it jives to its 2027 release.
