Despite what many might tell you, there’s no “one way” to make a video game. Just look at certain “Game of the Year” nominees in recent years, and you’ll understand what we mean by that. There are many groups that try to simply make the game and release it with no “notes” from others outside the team. Then, there are games like The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome, which went onto Steam Early Access and worked alongside fans for YEARS to ensure it was ready for a full launch.

And now, at last, The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome has launched its V1.0 version on Steam. But what is this RPG title by ConchShip Games? Well, you are the “heir of the Taiwu Clan,” which is intentionally put in quotations, for the record, and in each “attempt” at the game, the world shifts to be something completely random and unique.

To that end, you’ll meet all manner of “living” characters that you can grow alongside, see die, and learn special techniques and crafts from. The Scroll of Taiwu: Beyond the Dome is meant to be a tribute to Chinese martial arts and their history. Plus, as noted, every run through the game will give you a unique experience, allowing you to craft special stories with new characters, enemies, attacks, and more.

Be the person you want to be and make the land into something you’d want to live in and fight for.
