The unique 2D visual novel game Until Then dropped on Steam in 2024, as well as Nintendo Switch and PS5. The game was not only well-received by fans, who gave it an “Overwhelmingly Positive” review score on Steam, but it won awards for its narrative, which was woven within 2D sprite-style visuals. The game focused on a young man named Mark, who had to learn the truth about the world around him after a “chance encounter” changed everything in the literal sense. Fast forward to now, and the teams at Maximum Entertainment and Polychroma Games have launched the game’s DLC, titled “Afterimages.”

So, what does the DLC deliver? Check out this synopsis:

“Afterimages introduces two new chapters that explore grief, memory, and the quiet persistence of life in the wake of loss.
Sofia returns home to confront memories she left behind. Meanwhile, Mark encounters both a new lover and an old friend.
Through their separate journeys, both characters must navigate what it means to move forward while carrying the weight of absence.”

Alongside that, there will be new in-game activities for both characters to do, and new and old faces to help flesh out the compelling narrative even further. Here’s the launch trailer for the DLC:
