In the gaming space, having a bad launch can be an instant death sentence, and that’s true across both indie and AAA titles. However, if you have a dedicated team, you can work things out and bring people back into the fold. When Frontier Legends launched on Steam, it wasn’t exactly a huge hit. In fact, its current rating stands at “Mostly Negative, and the team at Neojac Entertainment acknowledged that.
In fact, in a special press release, they announced a massive update that was done with the specific goal of fixing the game’s biggest issues and showing how fan feedback helped shape what the game would be now. The biggest difference would be dedicated servers:
“One of the biggest additions in this update is the launch of official dedicated servers. Players will also be able to rent their own servers or host them independently. Whether they want to host a small private world for friends or create a large community server, Frontier Legends now gives players the freedom to play the way they want.”
That’s indeed a big deal, but it’s not the only change. The user interface has been completely revamped, there are new resources and equipment to use, more places to explore, animals to find and hunt, etc.
Frontier Legends is meant to invoke the feeling of the old West while providing action and RPG elements for you to enjoy. You’ll get the chance to build your own frontier town and see what the world has to offer you. After this update, it might be worth giving the frontier another chance, so you can test what you’re made of.
