There are many reasons to like the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, and one of the biggest reasons is that the platforms get a lo of not only AAA titles, but indie games. The Switch made a name for itself as an “indie machine,” and the Switch 2 is poised to be that as well. Case in point, the critically acclaimed title, The Drifter, is available right now on the Switch and Switch 2 eShop for $19.99.
To celebrate the release, the team at Powerhoof noted what makes the Switch 2 version so special:
“The Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of The Drifter supports up to 4K and 120fps, delivering extra crisp pixel art and improved frame rates for ultra-smooth parallax scrolling. Players can swap between twin-stick and traditional point-and-click controls with the
Joy-Con 2 mouse sensor functionality.”
For those who don’t know, The Drifter is a point & click pixel title that plays out like a “pulpy thriller,” where you’ll play as a man trying to solve the mystery of his own murder. In between the heavy storytelling and visual spectacle, you’ll solve puzzles that’ll help you push your case forward.
A special accolades trailer has been released to further coincide with the Switch/Switch 2 launch.
