Creativity is always one of the backbones of the indie space, and when a game starts getting some buzz, its dev teams will want nothing more than to try and show it off further to gamers. In the case of Beyond The Plastic Wall, its team at Motvind Studios had gotten some great buzz at the A MAZE event. So, they decided to show off the demo that was at the event on Steam, so that you, the player, can enjoy it from home.
The game itself is about a kid named Hal, who goes on a journey to find a woman who had written a bunch of letters he’s found. Said person is in the “last city” that lies at the end of the world.
As you journey through this 2.5D pixel world, you’ll find many characters who have been affected by the state of things, and you’ll both help them and fix up the world when you can, including repairing many machines you come across along the way. The exploration you’ll do in this visually stunning world is not to be overlooked, as the trailer below highlights:
A bold and exciting world awaits Hal and you! So, why not give the demo a try and see if it’s something you might want to get when it’s done!
