One of the biggest hurdles for indie game developers isn’t just making the game, as that is a whole level of challenges on its own. Rather, the biggest challenge is putting a game out there…and getting people to buy it. If you do the work, the game will be made, but that doesn’t always guarantee that people will play it. That’s why developers like Rebound take advantage of opportunities like Steam Next Fest to showcase titles like Furyball: Rogue Revenge, as that might be what it takes to ‘get it in front of people,’ and get them interested in buying it when the time comes.
Currently, the game is playable on Steam via a demo, and according to Rebound in a press release, the demo has gotten a lot of positive buzz. How so? First off, the game has over 11K wishlists, which is very impressive. The demo itself has been downloaded almost 10,000 times, and currently has a 96% positive score.
For those who haven’t tried the demo, Furyball: Rogue Revenge is an action-style sports game set in a post-apocalyptic world. Your goal is to travel across a massive city, win numerous Furyball games against crazy games, upgrade your skills, and then head to the Furydome!
With so many ways to build your fighter, you’ll have a blast taking on the arena over and over again. So, what are you waiting for? Go get the demo and see how well you can ball!
