Lover’s Enigma, though, gives its player a whole new experience with its visual novel, plunging them deep within the depths of emotions often difficult to explore.

This psychological horror takes a twist on the typical play of a visual novel, building an unsettling mystery and creeping dread into a lifelike experience. That being said, all of this is not in vain. The four male leads have their own way of guiding the player not only through grief but also helping find parts of themselves that were unknown up until that very moment. Now, whether that is a good or bad thing is entirely up to the player; intentions truly up to interpretation, but isn’t that what one loves the most about a visual novel?

The studio Okasan’s Recipe and the developers at Fallen Cranberry create a game that dares to ask just what kind of story do you, as the player, want to see? Are you willing to toe the line between the struggles of loss and grief to find a light at the end of the tunnel?
