Playtests are an excellent chance for developers to test out how their games play when actually under the stress that a full-on run by gamers provides. For a title like Lost Isle, which is all about putting 200 players onto one island to see how long they survive, playtests are a must. As such, Wunder Entertainment has launched one such playtest today on Steam, and it’ll go on until the 29th.

As noted in a press release, the new Lost Isle playtest features a revamped tutorial to help players understand the game, as well as new story content to flesh things out further. Just as important, you can choose the kind of server you want to play in. Thus, you’ll have the choice to face other players in PvP settings, or take on the world you’re in in PvE. Along the way, you’ll go through progression trees to further enhance your abilities and skills.

Will you become one powered by magic? Or a warrior who only needs their strength to survive? The choice is yours, and with each adventure you partake in, the procedurally generated world will shift, ensuring that survival will never happen the same way twice.
