Goodness, gracious, great Blades of Fire! MercurySteam’s and 505 Games’ action-packed anvil-em-up Blades of Fire has hit 2.0… and they want YOU to come celebrate. To commemorate the game’s release on Steam, Epic Games Store, Playstation and Xbox, Blades of Fire is FREE TO PLAY on Xbox from June 25th to June 28th.

You heard right–you can fire up some blades of your own until the 28th on Xbox, but don’t worry if you don’t have one lying around. PS+ Subscribers can give the game a shot for free too. PC gamers and non-PS+ Subscribers can get the game for 25% Off.

The dark fantasy adventure puts you in the soot-caked gloves of Aran de Lira–a hardy warrior with the power to forge TRUE STEEL in a world where all metal turns to stone. Armed with only what you forge, players must strike true and smith wisely if they want to survive; and with countless options and enhancements to choose from, you’ll have your work cut out for you.

But wait! There’s more! Blades of Fire 2.0 brings a lot more to the table such as a New Game Plus with exclusive rewards, a sword-shattering Titanium Difficulty Mode, and the infamous Anvil Trials: challenges that pit you against tougher bosses for all-new rewards. With 2.0 also comes spells to augment weapons, a new transmutation system for materials, control remapping, photo mode, Steam Deck Support, and much, MUCH more.
