It’s always good to celebrate when an indie game is doing well and tries to capitalize on how well it’s doing. Lost and Found Co. is a twist on the “hidden object” puzzle games you likely played when you were younger. This time, though, you play as a duck-turned-human character (yes, really) who works at a goddess’s factory (also really) whose role it is to help the THOUSANDS of people who live nearby find the various items that they lost. It’s meant to be a cute, fun, yet challenging adventure (if you want it to be), and the response to it has been strong.
On Metacritic, the game has a 90% score from critics, and on Steam, the title has gotten over 1000 player reviews, giving it an “Overwhelmingly Positive” ranking, which is the highest you can get on the platform. In a press release today, the team at Bit Egg Inc. noted that they had hundreds of thousands of wishlists for the title, and that the number has grown since its launch in March. Now, they’re further celebrating their success by launching the “Summer Update” for Lost and Found Co., which adds new content for players to enjoy. But first, here’s the accolades trailer the team also released today:
Key among the update’s features is adding new story content for you to enjoy:
“Discover Master of Findjutsu, a ninja-themed adventure where young disciples search for their missing master, and My Summer Memories 2, a nostalgic countryside scene where Ducky uncovers the magic hidden within Grandma’s everyday chores.”
Plus, there’s more language support, and the team did some quality-of-life improvements to help make the game even better. More than likely, Bit Egg Inc. and publisher Gamirror Games will continue to improve the game over time, which also explains why the team has lowered the game’s price on Steam to $14.39 for the annual Steam Summer Sale! There’s also a demo, if you wish to play that first before buying.
