Rhythm Roguelike Title Ratatan Gets Release Date Pushed To October

Look, as gamers, there are few things more disappointing than hearing that a game you were looking forward to playing has been delayed. It’s already hard enough to wait for certain key titles to come out, and now we have to wait longer??? Sadly, we do have to deliver such news today, as the teams at Ratata TV, TVT Co., Ltd., and Game Source Entertainment noted in a press release that their upcoming rhythm-based roguelike title, Ratatan, will be pushed out of its July release date and instead will now come out on October 15th, 2026. That being said, the game is still available on Steam Early Access.

Apparently, it’s because of reactions to the Early Access build that the delay had to happen. The team is working on certain multiplayer issues and fixing key bugs, which it likely feels it won’t have time to adjust fully and test out if the July release date held. The team apologized in the press release, stating the following:

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to our customers and stakeholders who have been eagerly awaiting the release of Ratatan. The entire development and production team is working together to improve the game, so that we can deliver it to you with the highest possible quality.

We want to thank you for your support and your patience, we hope you understand that this extra time is needed to deliver at the level of quality the player expects and deserves.”

If you already have a pre-order for Ratatan placed, you will get some extra codes that will grant you some extra equipment and items.

The game is still being developed for Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch 2.
