It’s always fun to see developers go and take cues from certain beloved AAA series and then twist things to have fun with it and make it their own. For example, a key RPG franchise out there right now, that’s about to get a new entry on Nintendo Switch 2, is Fire Emblem, which mixes turn-based tactics with deep storytelling, lore, characters, and yes, romances. Enter OmniMegaSuperCorp, which is getting ready to launch its spin on the genre via Ledgerbound.
The twist is that the group is that the story is put together by the writer of Helldivers 2! So, you’re going to get not only romance, but comedy out the wazoo! The trailer below highlights that, alongside letting you know that the Steam launch will be delayed until August 11th:
Want to know more about the game? Here’s the synopsis for Ledgerbound:
“Life as an insurance adjuster was fantastic: overtime, exceeding quotas, denying claims and increasing profits for the Shareholders’ benefits. But when world-shattering tragedy strikes, it’s your turn to step onto the battlefield as a company-sponsored Hero. With a quest to fulfill, goals to hit, and a peculiar party of characters to join you in battle and get to know in a (HR-approved) dating simulator, overtime is looking likely.”
The team isn’t holding back with this comedy and romance “vibe,” either, including bringing in legendary talent to voice their characters, including Matthew Mercer, Ben Starr, Stephanie Kerbis, Jeff Leach, etc.
So, while the game is delayed, don’t lose heart! Get it? Just wishlist the game on Steam and be ready when it does eventually drop in less than two months’ time.
