Right now, there’s a bit of a “battle” going on between companies and gamers, since the former is apparently trying to make everything digital in releases, while many gamers still want physical hard copies to enjoy. Thankfully, teams like Moonlight Games and DANGEN Entertainment are fine with doing physical releases…even if it takes them a little while to do it. For example, earlier this year, Hunt the Night released on consoles after dropping on Steam in 2023. However, it was only digital releases at the time. In a press release, the teams confirmed that starting today, you can get physical copies on Switch and PS5, should you want them.

If you’re unfamiliar with the game, here’s the breakdown:

“Hunt the Night is a retro-style action-RPG that blends fast, skillful combat with deep dark fantasy lore. Players step into the shoes of Vesper, a member of the elite “Stalkers” and the daughter of a traitor, as she traverses the ruined, dying world of Medhram. In a race against destiny, she must hunt the ancient horrors of the Night to save the last embers of humanity from a vicious cycle of total annihilation.”

You’ll want to build up Vesper as best you can to handle the threats that are coming her way, some of which include boss battles that have multiple parts to them. If you’re into Soulslike titles, this might be the game for you. Check out how the game looks via the trailer below:
