Experience coziness and simplicity in Milki Delivery’s demo

In a world of stress and drama, sometimes a short, cozy video game is exactly what you need to settle down. Published by Wholesome Games, Milki Delivery is an upcoming game by three developers: Doot, Blibloop, and Zakku. This point-and-click game is all about delivering milk to your neighbors in a quiet pastureland. It is deliberately designed to be simple and low-stakes, the kind of game you can turn your brain off to and just enjoy. Its demo showcases 45 minutes of the game, promising a wholesome experience upon full release.

A World Without Milk

Our player character Neha and her cow Milki are new to the area. Though the lore of the world isn’t clear in the demo, environmental storytelling and occasional references in the dialogue tell us that this is a world that hasn’t seen cows in a long time. By exploring the world, we see evidence of societal collapse: abandoned cars, wind turbines overgrown with greenery, and shabby buildings. But rather than focus on misfortune, Milki Delivery focuses on the hope of its world, and the quiet, content lives of the people that live there.

Not only does the worldbuilding make the environment more interesting to explore, but it adds meaning to your milk delivery service. Your neighbors are happy to be able to taste milk again. Plus, you get the opportunity to help your neighbors in need, restoring a sense of community to the pastureland.

Neha’s Adventure

In order to sell milk, you must first have access to milk. Not to mention customers.

The milk part is simple. Feed your cow Milki, and you’ll get a nice fresh bottle of milk. The more food items you feed her, the more bottles of milk she will gladly provide.

But how does Neha get food? The solution is the same way she finds her customers: hop on her bike and explore the world.

All of Milki Delivery takes place on a bike. But Neha quickly learns that her trusty bike isn’t sturdy enough for all the world’s environments. By scavenging scrap heaps and purchasing supplies from her neighbors, Neha can upgrade her bike to go farther and hold more milk.

Though milk is now a novelty in this land, not all of your neighbors will buy from you immediately. By chatting and doing favors, Neha will build a rapport with each character, finding herself with loyal customers to purchase Milki’s milk.

No Possibility of Failure

While designing Milki Delivery, the developers were intentional about keeping things simple. They promise that it is not a “big odyssey with hour-long quests or branching narratives,” deviating from the usual games the market is saturated with. There are no wrong decisions, no complex lore, and purposefully simple game mechanics.

There is light resource management in Milki Delivery, but nothing that requires a ton of brain power. As Neha travels, she must spend both time and energy to travel between locations and collect resources, such as scrap and food. There are food and benches where Neha can restore her energy, but resting takes time out of the day.

Different customers request different quantities of milk in each delivery, and Neha can’t deliver a lower number of milk bottles than is requested. But because Milki will only provide a number of milk bottles as food she is given, Neha needs to manage the food levels by scavenging on her journey and growing food on her farm. And don’t forget, Neha needs scrap to upgrade her bike.

So there is some light strategy, but the resources are generously provided, and the only consequence to running out of energy is a slight energy decrease the next day. Milki Delivery is designed so that you always succeed.

Though Steam Next Fest: June 2026 is over, the demo is still available to play as of publication. The full game is set to release in 2026, so wishlist it now on Steam.
