Summer Games Done Quick 2026 Starts on July 5th!

Gaming events come in all shapes and sizes. Last month, we had a series of big-name gaming events that were dedicated to highlighting the future of gaming itself. However, on July 5th, Summer Games Done Quick 2026 will arrive to show you how quickly games can be beaten…and raise money for a good cause via Doctors Without Borders. As noted in a special press release, the annual gaming speedrun event will take place from the 5th to the 11th in the Hilton Minneapolis Downtown, and the full schedule is available here.

“Highlights on this year’s schedule include the GDQ debut of a 120 Star tool-assisted speedrun of Super Mario 64, a pinball showcase of Total Nuclear Annihilation, a Half-Life and Jak & Daxter one-of-a-kind hybrid run, and an attempt by speedrunner Adef to reach a score so high it breaks Balatro, among others. Additionally, popular vtuber Ironmouse will be making a special appearance for an interview with GDQ.”

Donations can be made via their main website, and 100% of the proceeds will go to DWB. For context, last year, the event raised $2.4 million!

So, if you have some free time next week, check out Summer Games Done Quick 2026, and consider pledging to Doctors Without Borders. That way, you’re having a good time and are helping ensure someone else is getting good treatment.
