Trends are a key part of the gaming space. When one title does well, lots of teams try to either mimic what came before or improve upon it to get even better results. Currently, there are numerous co-op titles designed toward friends and “online allies” buddying up to take on impossible threats. Huntin’Buddies, by the Hunting Buddies Wildlife Management team, is getting ready to hit Steam to prove it’s just as fun as some of those other titles. You’ll find out on July 24th if they were fair in that statement.

This survival horror game is truly about going in with your friends, and then seeing how well you can work together to make it out alive. You know, IF you make it out alive.

“The idea is simple. You are a hunter. Each night you get a contract, head into the park, hunt the assigned animals, drag the carcasses back to the truck and get paid. So why are you scared?

Well, the deer have their eyes on the same side of their head. The goats are speaking Latin. And that’s just the beginning. The longer you stay out there, the more something starts hunting you back. And can it get worse? Yes, it can. The carcass explodes if you overstretch it. Just so you know.”

The best/worst part? Within the game are 15 different “nights” you can attempt to endure with up to four friends. Oh, and you’ll have limited ammo, so try to one-shot your foes, okay? And when you need to get one of your buddies to safety? Well, let’s hope you can drag them quickly.
