Mixing certain genres can lead to incredibly unique twists on story and gameplay. Today, Strong Monkey Games unveiled its twisted roguelike mixed with a deck-building game, DEAD SPIN, which will literally have you gambling to survive. It’ll launch on Steam, and there will be a playtest soon.

“Each run in DEAD SPIN is a deadly challenge against more than 8 unique opponents. Each opponent brings their own deck, skills, and strategy, forcing players to adapt their build around whatever random items they find. Lose, and the run starts over under new conditions. Win, and new items may be unlocked for future runs.”
