Whether or not the game itself is scary, there’s something compelling about a world that looks straight out of a hand-drawn Halloween book. IV Productions and Power Up Publishing‘s horror-themed precision puzzle game Spinning Scarecrow is set to launch on PC via Steam this August 4th.
The player takes control of an ever-spinning scarecrow navigating a combination of a haunting horror aesthetic and precise gameplay inspired by Kuru Kuru Kururin for the Game Boy Advance:
“Every level demands razor-sharp reflexes as you navigate claustrophobic environments filled with deadly traps, rotating hazards, grotesque enemies, bizarre minigames, and game-changing power-ups that constantly force you to rethink your approach.
Easy to learn but relentlessly challenging to master, where every failure becomes another lesson as players chase faster times, higher scores, and the perfect run through an increasingly unforgiving world.”
Key features of the game include:
- Constantly spinning arcade puzzle gameplay where movement never stops
- Deadly traps, rotating hazards, and precision platforming
- Grotesque enemies and bizarre minigames that keep every run unpredictable
- Powerful abilities and game-changing power-ups
- Striking hand-drawn dark comic-inspired visuals
- High replayability with increasingly demanding challenges
